Since the end of spring 2020, the activity of property buyers in Poland has significantly decreased. The recession affected the capital, Wroclaw, Poznan, Krakow and Lodz. Of the cities listed, Poznan has experienced the smallest changes in comparison with other capitals of voivodeships, where over the past year, purchasing activity fell by 30-40%, in Poznan it is only 10%. Despite this situation, prices do not go down, and in some cities they even go up. Property prices in Krakow have increased by a quarter over the year. In Warsaw, the number of properties sold fell by 55%. In Lodz by 48%. The main reason is, of course, the coronavirus. Quarantine made face-to-face meetings difficult to access, making it difficult for sales offices to work.
